1- Set Boundaries

You don’t have to be available all the time, answering phone calls and e-mails during lunch or in the middle of the night. You also don’t have to accept every project that comes your way. This will only hinder your performance and make you resent your job.

2- Ask For Assistance

You can ask questions and get help without worrying about how it makes you look. You’re not inadequate or weak when you ask for assitance or guidance about a work that’s expected from you. Communication and cooperation are essential parts of any job.

3- Take Care Of Yourself

You need to stay healthy to be able to operate. Make sure you get enough sleep, have some time to relax every day, eat well and exercise. Self-care will keep you motivated and it will prevent a burn-out, helping you deal more efficiently with work related issues.

4- Trust Your Abilities

You might be afraid of failure or you might think you’re going to lose your job, which makes you more nervous about making mistakes and taking risks. It can feel scary but you need to be confident of your talents and value if you want a healthy work/life balance. The more you practice letting go of what you can’t control (at work and outside of work) the more you start to feel confident in the flow. Learn to trust yourself and even if you fail or lose your job you will feel the strength to deal with it.
