Turkey’s economic confidence index jumped even higher in August

Upward Trend in Economic Confidence Maintained in August

Hitting 82.2 in July, Turkey’s economic confidence index (ECI) jumped even higher in August.
According to the data released by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat), ECI climbed to a reading of 85.9 in August, scoring a 4.4 percent rise. The recent leap in ECI figures was propelled by three main sectors; manufacturing, services and retail trade.
Where Services Confidence Index scored 70.5, rising by 5.8 percent and Retail Trade Confidence Index 94.9 with a 0.2 percent rise, it was the Manufacturing Confidence Index that contributed the most to the uplifting ECI tally, posting 105.2 with a 5.8 percent increase in August.
