Red Meat Production Statistics, Quarter III: July-September, 2018
Total red meat production was estimated as 339 379 tonnes in the 3rd quarter
While red meat production increased by 27.4% according to the previous quarter that kurban festival was realized, it increased by 0.4% when compared with the same quarter of last year. In total red meat production, the amount produced by slaughterhouses was 145 thousand 173 tonnes.
Cattle meat production was estimated as 306 thousand 638 tonnes
While cattle meat production increased by 30% according to the previous quarter, it increased by 5.6% when compared with the same quarter of last year.
Sheep meat production was estimated as 28 thousand 539 tonnes
While sheep meat production increased 4.4% according to the previous quarter, it decreased 13.7% when compared with the same quarter of last year.
