The UK government plans on developing micro-robots to work in dangerous sites such as nuclear facilities and underground pipe lines.
Some micro-robots will be developed to work in the air and underwater to inspect areas such as offshore wind plants.
Science Minister Chris Skidmore stated that £26.6 m would be invested for 15 projects.
