Marketable production of lignite(1) increased by 0.8% in August compared to the previous month whilst it decreased by 7.5% compared to the same month of the previous year.

Marketable production of hard coal was 132 thousand 862 tonnes in August

Marketable production of hard coal increased by 44.1% in August compared to the previous month and by 38.1% compared to the same month of the previous year.

Marketable production of coke derived from hard coal was 407 thousand 905 tonnes in August. This production decreased by 0.5% in August compared to the previous month whilst it increased by 2.8% compared to the same month of the previous year.

Imports of hard coal was 3 million 587 thousand 754 tonnes in August

Imports of hard coal increased by 14.9% in August compared to the previous month while it decreased by 11.6% compared to the same month of the previous year.

Imports of coke derived from hard coal decreased by 15.3% in August compared to the previous month and by 2.5% compared to the same month of the previous year.

The highest ratio of production to deliveries was in lignite in August

The highest ratio(2) of production to deliveries was in lignite by 105.9% in August. This ratio was 82.3% for coke derived from hard coal and 4.0% for hard coal.

Hard coal and lignite were delivered mostly to thermal power plants

Concerning the deliveries of solid fuels in August; 60.7% of hard coal was delivered to thermal power plants, 13.6% to coking plants and 13.4% to industry (except iron and steel industry). Additionally, 84.8% of lignite was delivered to thermal power plants and 9.7% to industry (except iron and steel industry). Lastly, 94.5% of coke derived from hard coal was delivered to iron and steel industry.

Marketable production of lignite(1) increased by 27.1% in June compared to the previous month. On the other hand, its production decreased by 21.1% in January-June period compared to the same period of the previous year and by 19.2% compared to the same month of the previous year.

Marketable production of hard coal was 105 thousand 134 tonnes in June

Marketable production of hard coal increased by 505.8% in June compared to the previous month, and by 31.9% compared to the same month of the previous year. However, its production decreased by 24.8% in January-June period compared to the same period of the previous year.

Marketable production of coke derived from hard coal increased by 3.2% in June compared to the previous month and by 0.9% compared to the same month of the previous year. On the other hand, its production decreased by 1.9% in January-June period compared to the same period of the previous year.

Imports of hard coal increased by 47.4% compared to the previous month

Imports of hard coal increased by 47.4% in June compared to the previous month, by 3.3% compared to the same month of the previous year, and by 5.1% in January-June period compared to the same period of the previous year.

Imports of coke derived from hard coal increased by 40.8% in June compared to the same month of the previous year. On the other hand, its import decreased by 6.3% compared to the previous month and by 7.2% in January-June period compared to the same period of the previous year.

The highest ratio of production to deliveries was in lignite in January-June period

The highest ratio(2) of production to deliveries was in lignite by 104.7%. This ratio was 89.5% for coke derived from hard coal and 2.7% for hard coal in January-June period.

Hard coal and lignite were delivered mostly to thermal power plants

Concerning the deliveries of solid fuels in June, hard coal was delivered with a percentage of 58.7% to thermal power plants, 16.1% to coking plants, and 9.4% to industry (except iron and steel industry). Additionally, 85.9% of lignite was delivered to thermal power plants and 9.4% to industry (except iron and steel industry). Lastly, 97.9% of coke derived from hard coal was delivered to iron and steel industry.

Marketable production of hard coal increased by 30.7% in May compared to the previous month. On the other hand, its production decreased by 33.6% in January-May period compared to the same period of the previous year and by 84.2% compared to the same month of the previous year.

Marketable production of coke derived from hard coal increased by 2.0% in May compared to the previous month. However, its production decreased by 2.5% in January-May period compared to the same period of the previous year and by 7.0% compared to the same month of the previous year.

Imports of hard coal increased by 5.5% compared to the same period of the previous year

Imports of hard coal increased by 5.5% in January-May period compared to the same period of the previous year. On the other hand, its import decreased by 6.0% in May compared to the previous month and by 13.0% compared to the same month of the previous year.

Imports of coke derived from hard coal decreased by 53.2% in May compared to the previous month; by 11.5% in January-May period compared to the same period of the previous year; and by 49.4% compared to the same month of the previous year.

The highest ratio of production to deliveries was in lignite in January-May period

The highest ratio(2) of production to deliveries was in lignite by 107.4%. This ratio was 90.1% for coke derived from hard coal and 2.5% for hard coal in January-May period.

Hard coal and lignite were delivered mostly to thermal power plants

Concerning the deliveries of solid fuels in May, hard coal was delivered with a percentage of 50.5% to thermal power plants, 24.0% to coking plants, and 12.5% to industry (except iron and steel industry). Additionally, 86.1% of lignite was delivered to thermal power plants and 9.8% to industry (except iron and steel industry). Lastly, 98.8% of coke derived from hard coal was delivered to iron and steel industry.

Marketable production of hard coal increased by 2.3% in January-March period compared to the same period of the previous year. On the other hand, its production decreased by 1.6% compared to the previous month and by 6.7% compared to the same month of the previous year in March.

Marketable production of coke derived from hard coal increased by 7.1% in March compared to the previous month and by 0.6% in January-March period compared to the same period of the previous year. On the other hand, its production decreased by 1.8% compared to the same month of the previous year.

Imports of hard coal increased by 56.2% compared to the previous month

Imports of hard coal increased by 56.2% in March compared to the previous month and by 13.4% compared to the same month of the previous year and by 11.0% in January-March period compared to the same period of the previous year.

Imports of coke derived from hard coal increased by 19.8% in March compared to the previous month. On the other hand, it decreased by 23.1% in January-March period compared to the same period of the previous year, by 34.8% in March compared to the same month of the previous year.

The highest ratio of production to deliveries was in lignite in January-March period

The highest ratio(2) of production to deliveries was in lignite by 107.9%. This ratio was 84.6% for coke derived from hard coal and 3.2% for hard coal in January-March period.

Hard coal and lignite were delivered mostly to thermal power plants

Concerning the deliveries of solid fuels in March, hard coal was delivered with a percentage of 56.0% to thermal power plants, 21.6% to coking plants, and 9.6% to industry (except iron and steel industry). On the other hand, 87.2% of lignite was delivered to thermal power plants and 9.7% to industry (except iron and steel industry). Lastly, 95.4% of coke derived from hard coal was delivered to iron and steel industry.

Imports of hard coal increased by 9.7% in January-February period compared to the same period of the previous year. On the other hand, its imports decreased by 12.9% compared to the same month of the previous year and by 44.4% compared to the previous month.

Imports of coke derived from hard coal increased by 177.9% in February compared to the same month of the previous year. On the other hand, it decreased by 17.0% in January-February period compared to the same period of the previous year, by 46.7% in February compared to the previous month.

The highest ratio of production to deliveries was in lignite in January-February period

The highest ratio(2) of production to deliveries was in lignite by 109.5%. This ratio was 83.9% for coke derived from hard coal and 3.2% for hard coal in January-February period.

Hard coal and lignite were delivered mostly to thermal power plants

Concerning the deliveries of solid fuels in February, hard coal was delivered with a percentage of 58.4% to thermal power plants, 17.6% to coking plants, and 8.0% to industry (except iron and steel industry). On the other hand, 85.3% of lignite was delivered to thermal power plants and 10.3% to industry (except iron and steel industry). Lastly, 97.9% of coke derived from hard coal was delivered to iron and steel industry.
