Agricultural Input Price Index (Agricultural-IPI) increased by 8.99% annually and 1.10% monthly

Agriculture-PPI (2015=100) increased by 1.10% compared to previous month, increased  by 1.10% compared to December of the previous year, by 8.99% compared to same month of the previous year and increased by 14.36% compared to twelve month averages, in January 2020.

In detail of main groups, goods and services currently consumed in agriculture index increased by 0.83%; goods and services contributing to agricultural investment index increased by 2.82% compared to the previous month. The goods and services currently consumed in agricultural index increased by 8.96% and  goods and services contributing to agricultural investment index increased by 9.19% compared to same month of the previous year.

The highest annual decrease was realized 2.68% for fertilizer and soil improvers subgroup

The veterinary expenses and the plant protection and pesticides had lowest annual increase with 0.60% and 0.65% respectively, compared to same month of the previous year. The highest increase had realized for  materials with 9.58%, energy and lubricants with 13.56% and seeds and planting stock with 15.82% compared to same month of the previous year.

The highest monthly decrease was 1.84% for fertilizer and soil improvers subgroup

The other group that indicated high monthly decrease was plant protection and pesticides with 0.24% compared to previous month. The lowest increase in January 2020 was realized for veterinary expenses with 0.17% and energy and lubricants with 0.52% compared to previous month. On the other hand, the highest monthly increase was realized for animal feeding stuffs  with 1.35%, seeds and planting stock with 1.45% and materials with 2.13%.

Gross Domestic Product (GDP) decreased by 2.6%Gross domestic product by production approach with chain linked volume index (2009=100) decreased by 2.6% compared with the same quarter of previous year in the first quarter of 2019.

Gross domestic product increased by 16% and reached 914 billion 699 million TRY at current prices.

When the activities which constitute gross domestic product were analyzed; the total value added increased by 2.5% in the agricultural sector, decreased by 4.3% in the industry sector and 10.9% in the construction sector and 4% in the services sector (wholesale and retail trade, transport, storage, accommodation and food service activities) compared with the same quarter of the previous year in the chained linked volume index.

Calendar adjusted gross domestic product in the first quarter of 2019 decreased by 2.3% compared with the same quarter of the previous year. Seasonally and calendar adjusted gross domestic product increased by 1.3% compared with the previous quarter.

Households final consumption expenditure decreased by 4.7%

Final consumption expenditure of resident households and final consumption of NPISH decreased by 4.7%, government final consumption expenditure increased by 7.2% and gross fixed capital formation decreased by 13% in the first quarter of 2019 compared with the same quarter of the previous year in the chained linked volume index.

Exports of goods and services increased by 9.5%, imports decreased by 28.8%

Exports of goods and services increased by 9.5% in the first quarter of 2019 compared with the same quarter of the previous year in the chained linked volume index, imports of goods and services decreased by 28.8%.

Compensation of employees increased by 20.9%

Compensation of employees increased by 20.9%. net operating surplus/mixed income increased by 10.8% in the first quarter of 2019 compared with the same quarter of the previous year.

The share of compensation of employees in Gross Value Added was 39.3%

The share of compensation of employees in the Gross Value Added at current prices was 39.3% in the first quarter of 2019 while it was 38.3% in the same quarter of the previous year. The share of net operating surplus/mixed income was 40.8% while it was 43.3% in the same quarter of the previous year.

Agriculture PPI increased by 1.09% in April
 
Producer price index of agricultural products (Agriculture – PPI), in April 2019, increased by 1.09% compared with the previous month, increased by 14.44% compared with December of the previous year, increased by 30.75% compared with the same month of the previous year and increased by 18.12% compared with twelve months averages.The highest monthly increase was in non-perennial crops

Regarding monthly changes by main groups; non-perennial crops increased by 1.62%, live animals and animal products increased by 0.67% and perennial crops increased by 0.33%.

The vegetables from sub-agriculture groups increased by 2.06%

From sub-agriculture groups; there were increases for rice (in hulk) by 6.18%, for sheep and goats, live; raw milk and shorn wool from sheep and goats by 1.53%, and for cereals (except rice), leguminous crops and oil seeds by 1.47%, however, there were decreases for oleaginous fruits  by 2.07% , for poultry, live and eggs by 0.91% and for fibre plants by 3.01%.

In April 2019, 77 items were included in the Agriculture PPI; while 3 new item was included this month, prices of 47 items increased, prices of 18 items decreased and prices of 9 items remained unchanged with respect to previous month.

Gross domestic product increased by 7.4% compared with the same quarter of the previous year in the first quarter of 2018.

Gross domestic product with production method was increased by 21.9% and reached 792 billion 691 million TRY at current prices.

When the activities which constitute gross domestic product were analyzed; the total value added increased by; 4.6% in the agricultural sector, 8.8% in the industry sector, 6.9% in the construction sector, 10% in the services sector (wholesale and retail trade, transport, storage, accommodation and food service activities) compared with the same quarter of the previous year in the chained linked volume index

Calendar adjusted gross domestic product in the first quarter of 2018 increased by 7.2% compared with the same quarter of the previous year. Seasonally and calendar adjusted gross domestic product increased by 2% compared with the previous quarter.

Final consumption expenditure of resident households and final consumption of NPISH increased by 11%, government final consumption expenditure increased by 3.4% and gross fixed capital formation increased by 9.7% in the first quarter of 2018 compared with the same quarter of the previous year in the chained linked volume index.

Exports of goods and services increased by 0.5%, imports increased by 15.6%

Exports of goods and services increased by 0.5%, imports of goods and services increased by 15.6% in the first quarter of 2018 compared with the same quarter of the previous year in the chained linked volume index.

Compensation of employees increased by 18.7%

Compensation of employees increased by 18.7% while net operating surplus/mixed income increased by  22.8% in the first quarter of 2018 compared with the same quarter of the previous year.

The share of compensation of employees in gross value added was 37.8%

The share of compensation of employees in the gross value added was 37.8% in the first quarter of 2018 while it was 38.8% in the same quarter of the previous year. The share of net operating surplus/mixed income was 44.4% while it was 44.1% in the same quarter of the previous year.
