Therefore, if the employer allows the employee to use annual leave within the notice period, the notice period is considered to have been used incompletely and the employee must be paid the full notice compensation related to the notice period.

Employers have to give notice to employees before dismissing them.

The notice period is;

  • 2 weeks for 6 months of employment,
  • 4 weeks for 6 – 18 months of employment,
  • 6 weeks for 18 – 36 months of employment,
  • 8 weeks for more than 36 months of employment.

The Party who does not abide by the regulation has to pay the wage amount that covers the notice period as compensation.
