In Turkey, house sales increased by 54.2% in August 2020 compared to the same month of the previous year and hence, became 170 thousand 408. For the house sales of August 2020, İstanbul had the highest share of house sales with 17.8% and 30 thousand 292 sold house. The followers of İstanbul were Ankara with 17 thousand 131 house sales and İzmir 11 thousand 145 house sales with the share of 10.1% and 6.5% respectively. The least house sold provinces were Hakkari with 13 house sales, Ardahan with 22 house sales and Şırnak with 99 house sales.

In August 2020, 76 thousand 19 ownership of the houses changed by mortgage sales

The mortgaged house sales throughout Turkey became 76 thousand 19 by increasing 122.6% compared to the same month of the previous year. House sales with mortgage had a 44.6% share of all house sales in Turkey. İstanbul has the highest mortgage house sales in Turkey with 15 thousand 367 sales and with the share of 20.2%. The least other house sales was realized in Hakkari with 2 house sales.

Ownership of 94 thousand 389 houses changed by other sales

Other house sales in Turkey became 94 thousand 389 by increasing 23.6% compared to the same month of the previous year. In the other sales, İstanbul was the first province with 14 thousand 925 sales and 15.8% share. Other house sales had 49.3% share of all house sales in İstanbul. Ankara was the second province with 8 thousand 10 sales. Ankara was followed by İzmir with 5 thousand 518 sales. The least other house sales was realized in Hakkari with 11 house sales.

First house sales in Turkey became 52 thousand 123 by increasing 28.3% compared to the same month of the previous year. First house sales had 30.6% share of all house sales in Turkey. The most first house sales was in İstanbul with 8 thousand 103 sales. İstanbul was the first province in Turkey ranking that had most first house sales share with 15.5%. The followers of İstanbul were Ankara with 3 thousand 891 house sales and İzmir with 3 thousand 193 house sales.

Second hand house sales in Turkey became 118 thousand 285 by increasing 69.2% compared to the same month of the previous year. In the second hand sales, İstanbul was the first province with 22 thousand 189 sales and 18.8% share. Share of the second hand sales was 73.3% in İstanbul in total house sales. Ankara was the second province with 13 thousand 240 sales and Ankara was followed by İzmir with 7 thousand 952 sales.

Houses sales increased by 42.6% in January-August period

In the January-August period, a million 24 thousand 534 houses were sold and increased by 42.6% compared to the same period of the previous year. In the January-August period, sales of mortgaged houses was 473 thousand 114 and increased by 263.7%, and in other types of sales, it was 551 thousand 420 and decreased by 6.3%. Houses sold for the first time in this period was 317 thousand 832 increasing by 11.2%. Second-hand house sales was 706 thousand 702 and also increased by 63.3%.

In August 2020, 3 thousand 893 houses were sold to foreigners

In house sales to foreigners became 3 thousand 893 by increasing 8.0% compared to the same month of the previous year. İstanbul was the first province with a thousand 648 sales in August 2020. The followers of İstanbul were Antalya with 784 house sales, Ankara with 288 house sales, Mersin with 148 house sales and Yalova with 133 house sales.

In January-August period, house sales to foreigners became 20 thousand 896 by decreasing 24.7% compared to the same period of the previous year.

Most house sales were made to Iran citizens according to country nationalities

In August, Iran citizens bought 640 houses from Turkey. The followers of Iran were Iraq with 592 house sales, Russia with 366 house sales, Afghanistan with 156 house sales and Azerbaijan with 154 house sales.

House sales with mortgage had a 53.4% share of all house sales in Turkey. İstanbul has the highest mortgage house sales in Turkey with 14 thousand 767 sales and with the share of 14.5%. The least mortgaged other house sales was realized in Hakkari with 4 house sales.

Other house sales in Turkey became 88 thousand 508 by increasing 63.8% compared to the same month of the previous year. In the other sales, İstanbul was the first province with 14 thousand 32 sales and 15.9% share. Other house sales had 48.7% share of all house sales in İstanbul. Ankara was the second province with 8 thousand 114 sales. Ankara was followed by İzmir with 5 thousand 4 sales. The least other house sales was realized in Ardahan with 14 house sales.

Houses sales increased by 23.5% in January-June period

In the January-June period, 624 thousand 769 houses were sold and increased by 23.5% compared to the same period of the previous year. In the January-June period, sales of mortgaged houses was 266 thousand 374 and increased by 221.4%, and in other types of sales, it was 358 thousand 395 and decreased by 15.3%. Houses sold for the first time in this period was 197 thousand 722 decreased by 4.1%. Second-hand house sales was 426 thousand 997 and also increased by 42.5%.

In house sales to foreigners became a thousand 664 by decreasing 38.1% compared to the same month of the previous year. İstanbul was the first province with 730 sales in June 2020. The followers of İstanbul were Antalya with 277 house sales, Ankara with 180 house sales, İzmir with 65 house sales and Mersin with 57 house sales.

In Turkey, house sales decreased by 1.9% in 2019 compared to the previous year and hence, became 1 348 729. In house sales, 332 508 house were sold by mortgage sales and ownership of 1 016 221 houses changed by other sales. The share of the mortgage sales were 24.7%. In Turkey, first house sales were 511 682 and second hand house sales were 837 047 in 2019. The share of the first house sales were 37.9% and the second hand sales were 62.1%. For the house sales of 2019, İstanbul had the highest share of house sales with 17.6% and 237 675 sold house. The followers of Istanbul were Ankara with 132 486 house sales with 9.8% and İzmir  79 221 house sales with 5.9%. The least house sold province is Ardahan with 185 house sales.

For the house sales of December 2019, İstanbul had the highest share of house sales with 20% and 40_317 sold house. The followers of İstanbul were Ankara with 20 084 house sales and İzmir 12 284 house sales with the share of 9.9% and 6.1% respectively. The least house sold provinces were Hakkari with 29 house sales, Ardahan with 33 house sales and Tunceli with 103 house sales.

The mortgaged house sales throughout Turkey became 50 278 by increasing 603.4% compared to the same month of the previous year. House sales with mortgage had a 24.9% share of all house sales in Turkey. İstanbul has the highest mortgage house sales in Turkey with 10 137 sales and with the share of 20.2%.

Other house sales in Turkey became 151 796 by increasing 17% compared to the same month of the previous year. In the other sales, İstanbul was the first province with 30 180 sales and 19.9% share. Other house sales had 74.9% share of all house sales in İstanbul. Ankara was the second province with 13 873 sales. Ankara was followed by İzmir with 8 548 sales. The least other house sales was realized in Ardahan with 26 house sales.

In Turkey, 45 483 houses were sold to foreigners in 2019

House sales to foreigners increased by 14.7% in 2019 compared to the previous year. In house sales to foreigners, İstanbul was the first province with 20 857 sales in 2019. Antalya was the second province with 8 951 sales. Antalya was followed by 2_539 sales with Ankara and 2 213 sales with Bursa.

In house sales to foreigners became 5 298 by increasing 16.2% compared to the same month of the previous year. İstanbul was the first province with 2 650 sales in December 2019. The followers of İstanbul were Antalya with 957 house sales, Ankara with 317 house sales, Bursa with 212 house sales and Yalova with 154 house sales.

Most house sales were made to Iraqi citizens according to country nationalities

Iraqi citizens bought 7 596 houses from Turkey in 2019. The followers of Iraq were Iran with 5 423 house sales, Russia with 2_893 house sales, Saudi Arabia with 2 208 house sales and Afghanistan with 2 191 house sales.

In December, Iraqi citizens bought 897 houses from Turkey. The followers of Iraq were Iran with 763 house sales, Russia with 362 house sales and Afghanistan with 312 house sales.

In Turkey, 775 653 men and 420 276 women became the owner of house in 2019

While 775 653 houses with share 57.5% were bought by men and 420 276 houses with share 31.2% were bought by women, 24 141 houses with share 1.8% were bought jointly by women and men in general of Turkey.

İstanbul ranked the first in terms of the number of houses purchased by women with 66 414 and 15.8% share in Turkey. While men bought 126 170 houses in İstanbul, 5 337 houses were bought by men and women jointly. The lowest number of houses sold to women was in Ardahan with 46 sales while Hakkari had the lowest number of houses sold to men with 125 sales.
