As compared with the corresponding month of the preceding year, the overall export unit value index increased by 0.6% in October. In the same month, compared to October 2019, while the index for food, beverages and tobacco, and fuels decreased by 0.5% and 36.9%, respectively, the index for crude materials (except fuels) and manufactured goods (except food, beverages and tobacco) increased by 2.4% and 1.7%, respectively.

The overall export volume index increased by 4.5%

The overall export volume index compared to the corresponding month of the preceding year increased by 4.5% in October. Compared with October 2019, while the index for manufactured goods (except food, beverages and tobacco) increased by 6.0%, the index for food, beverages and tobacco, crude materials (except fuels) and fuels decreased by 3.0%, 8.2% and 28.4%, respectively.

The overall import unit value index decreased by 3.0%

As compared with the corresponding month of the preceding year, the overall import unit value index decreased by 3.0% in October. While the index for food, beverages and tobacco, and manufactured goods (except food, beverages and tobacco) increased by 5.0% and 4.0%, respectively, the index for crude materials (except fuels) and fuels decreased by 0.2% and 32.0%, respectively.

The overall import volume index increased by 10.4%

In October, the overall import volume index compared to the corresponding month of the preceding year increased by 10.4%. While the index for food, beverages and tobacco, and fuels decreased by 16.4% and 2.9%, respectively, the index for crude materials (except fuels) and manufactured goods (except food, beverages and tobacco) increased by 20.2% and 14.6%, respectively.

The calendar and seasonally adjusted export volume index increased by 1.6%

The calendar and seasonally adjusted export volume index which was 168.5 in September 2020, increased by 1.6%, to 171.2 in October 2020. The calendar adjusted export volume index which was 175.9 in October 2019, increased by 4.5%, to 183.9 in October 2020.

The calendar and seasonally adjusted import volume index decreased by 1.2%

The calendar and seasonally adjusted import volume index which was 146.2 in September 2020, decreased by 1.2%, to 144.4 in October 2020. The calendar adjusted import volume index which was 127.3 in October 2019, increased by 12.9%, to 143.7 in October 2020.

The overall export volume index compared to the corresponding month of the preceding year decreased by 4.1% in July. Compared with July 2019, while the index for food, beverages and tobacco, and crude materials (except fuels) increased by 8.2% and 15.4%, respectively, the index for fuels and manufactured goods (except food, beverages and tobacco) decreased by 34.1% and 3.7%, respectively.

As compared with the corresponding month of the preceding year, the overall import unit value index decreased by 9.4% in July. While the index for food, beverages and tobacco increased by 1.1%, the index for crude materials (except fuels), fuels and manufactured goods (except food, beverages and tobacco) decreased by 12.4%, 36.0% and 3.8%, respectively.

The overall import volume index increased by 3.1%

In July, the overall import volume index compared to the corresponding month of the preceding year increased by 3.1%. While the index for food, beverages and tobacco, and manufactured goods (except food, beverages and tobacco) decreased by 26.5% and 3.4%, respectively, the index for crude materials (except fuels) and fuels increased by 3.1% and 6.7%, respectively.

The overall export volume index compared to the corresponding month of the preceding year decreased by 16.0% in March. Compared with March 2019, while the index for food, beverages and tobacco increased by 1.9%, the index for crude materials (except fuels), fuels and manufactured goods (except food, beverages and tobacco) decreased by 1.5%, 10.0% and 19.1%, respectively.

The overall export volume index decreased by 2.9% in Quarter I 2020, compared to the corresponding quarter of the preceding year.

As compared with the corresponding month of the preceding year, the overall import unit value index decreased by 6.4% in March. While the index for food, beverages and tobacco remained the same, the index for crude materials (except fuels), fuels and manufactured goods (except food, beverages and tobacco) decreased by 7.2%, 24.2% and 3.3%, respectively.

The overall import unit value index decreased by 5.7% in Quarter I 2020, compared to the corresponding quarter of the preceding year.

The overall import volume index increased by 8.8%

In March, the overall import volume index compared to the corresponding month of the preceding year increased by 8.8%. While the index for food, beverages and tobacco, and fuels decreased by 11.4% and 5.6%, respectively, the index for crude materials (except fuels) and manufactured goods (except food, beverages and tobacco) increased by 2.1% and 13.6%, respectively.

The overall import volume index increased by 15.7% in Quarter I 2020, compared to the corresponding quarter of the preceding year.

The overall export volume index increased by 9.6% in Quarter I 2017, compared to the corresponding quarter of the preceding year.

In March, the overall import volume index compared to the corresponding month of the preceding year increased by 0.2%.
