According to the news published by Trade Economics, the manufacturing confidence index in Turkey increased to 102.0 in November 2019 from 100.9 in the previous month. This was the strongest reading since August, boosted by a more favorable assessment of fixed investment expenditure (106.3 from 101.7 in October) and general business situation (102.1 from 95.9). Also, there was a slight improvement in expectations over the next three months regarding output (108.2 from 108.1), while the employment outlook weakened (103.5 from 104.7) as well as export orders expectations (108.9 from 116.1). Business Confidence in Turkey averaged 99.29 Index Points from 1987 until 2019, reaching an all-time high of 123.30 Index Points in December of 1987 and a record low of 52.60 Index Points in December of 2008.

Growth in China’s services sector cooled to its slowest in almost a year in April as fears of slower economic growth dented business confidence.

Caixin’s composite manufacturing and services PMI also pointed to a loss of growth momentum for the month, falling to 51.2, its lowest since June 2016, from 52.1 in March.
