Sectoral Confidence Indices, October 2019, in Turkey
Seasonally adjusted confidence index which was 89.3 for services in September increased by 1.6% in October to 90.7. In services sector; demand-turnover expectation index increased by 4.9% compared to the previous month to 100.1. Business situation and demand-turnover indices decreased by 0.3% and 0.2% respectively to 86.8 and 85.3.
Retail trade confidence index realized as 102.3
Seasonally adjusted retail trade confidence index increased by 4.8% in October to 102.3. In retail trade sector; business activity-sales, current volume of stock and business activity-sales expectation indices increased by 4.9%, 2% and 7.7% respectively compared to the previous month to 93.3,108 and 105.6.

Construction confidence index realized as 65.1
Seasonally adjusted construction confidence index which was 60.1 in previous month increased by 8.3% in October to 65.1. In construction sector; current overall order books and total employment expectation indices increased by 9.1% and 7.9% respectively compared to the previous month to 48.4 and 81.8.

Sectoral confidence indices can take value between 0 and 200. It indicates an optimistic outlook when the index is above 100, but it indicates a pessimistic outlook when it is below 100.
