Red Meat Production Statistics, I. Quarter: January-March, 2017

Total red meat production was estimated as 232 404 tons in the 1st quarter
Red meat production decreased by 14.1% according to the previous period, it decreased by 2.3% when compared with the same period of last year. In total red meat production, the amount produced by slaughterhouses was 113 276 thousand tons.

Cattle meat production was estimated as 207 779 tons
While Cattle meat production decreased by 16.6% according to the previous quarter, it increased by 0.03% when compared with the same quarter of last year.

Sheep meat production was estimated as 18 668 tons
While sheep meat production increased 20.6% according to the previous quarter, it decreased 10% when compared with the same quarter of last year.
