Producer Price Index of Agricultural Products in Turkey, February 2017

Agriculture PPI decreased by 1.36% in February
Producer price index of agricultural products (Agriculture – PPI) decreased on the previous month by 1.36%, on December of the previous year basis increased by 8.02%, on same month of the previous year increased by 9.29% and on the twelve months moving averages basis increased by 3.19% in February 2017.

Compared to the previous month; agriculture and hunting products decreased by 1.71%, forestry products increased by 8.35% and fishing increased by 1.88%.

The highest monthly decrease was in non – perennial crops
Monthly changes by main groups; there were decreases for non-perennial crops products by 3.78% and for perennial crops by 1.15% respectively but live animals and animal products increased by 1.47%.

The vegetables from sub-agriculture groups decreased by 9.06%
From sub-agriculture groups; there were increases for citrus fruits by 10.40%, for rice (in hulk) by 5.60%, and for oleaginous fruits by 2.76%, but there were decreases for vegetables by 9.06% and other tree and bush fruits and nuts by 3.06%.
