Law No. 7539, which introduces amendments to various laws, was published in the Official Gazette on February 4, 2025. One of the key changes is in Article 4, which modifies the first sentence of the first paragraph of Additional Article 19 of Law No. 5510 on Social Security and General Health Insurance. The previous minimum pension amount of 12,500 TL has been increased to 14,469 TL, effective from January 2025 pension payments.
According to Additional Article 19, total monthly payments, including supplementary allowances, cannot be less than 14,469 TL. If calculated pensions fall below this amount, the difference will be covered by the Treasury. However, this provision does not apply to partial pensions granted under international social security agreements.
