Interest Rate Support in Turkey

This support will be available for investment loans, borrowed to finance the investment, with a maturity of at least one year for Regional Investments (Region 3, 4, 5 and 6), Strategic Investments, R&D and Environment Investments. The Ministry will cover a specific portion of the interest/profit share of the loans that do not exceed 70% of the fixed investment amount registered on the certificate for a specific period which would not exceed 5 years. Rates and the maximum interest rate support applicable to the example investment project are as follows:

Support Rate Maximum Support Amount
TL Loan FX Loan
7 Points 2 Points 900,000 TL

Interest Rate Support Example

The maximum loan amount to receive interest rate support for an investment project with a total value of 10,000,000 TL, is 7,000,000 TL.  A company using a TL loan of 7,000,000 TL can receive 7 Points support with an upper limit of 900,000 TL.  Accordingly, the interest rate support to be extended to a company utilizing a 5-year maturity loan, with a 6 months grace period for principal and semi-annual re-payment installments, is calculated as follows:

Amount of Interest Rate Support = (Remaining Principal Repayment) x (Support Points)/2

Support to be granted to the company semi-annually are as follows:
6th month         : 245,000 TL
12th month       : 220,500 TL
18th month       : 196,000 TL
24th month       : 171,500 TL
30th month       :   67,000 TL*
Total                 : 900,000 TL

* Since the amount reaches 900,000 TL following the payment made in the month 30, the support reaches the upper limit at that point of time.
