In the first 4 months of 2023, hazelnut was the sector with the most exports from the Eastern Black Sea Region in Türkiye

In the Eastern Black Sea Region, exports from Trabzon, Rize, Artvin and Gümüşhane provinces amounted to 510 million 44 thousand 95 dollars in the January-April period of 2023. There was a 10% increase in exports compared to the previous year. In the first 4 months of 2023, the exports from our region; 413 Million 156 Thousand 554 dollars were realized from Trabzon, 60 Million 643 thousand 307 dollars from Rize, 22 Million 669 thousand 338 dollars from Artvin and 13 Million 574 thousand 895 dollars from Gümüşhane. Compared to the 4-month period of the previous year, exports from the provinces of the region increased by 25 percent in exports from Trabzon and 5 percent in exports from Artvin. Due to the decrease in the export of mining products, there is a 32 percent decrease in the exports from Rize and a 44 percent decrease in the exports from Gümüşhane.

In the first 4 months of 2023, the sectors with the highest exports from the Eastern Black Sea Region Trabzon, Rize, Artvin and Gümüşhane provinces;

Hazelnut with 236 million 556 thousand 779 dollars,
Fresh Fruits and Vegetables with 87 Million 527 thousand 932 dollars,
Fisheries and Livestock Products with 54 Million 223 thousand 16 Dollars,
Minerals and Metals with 46 Million 653 Thousand 381 Dollars,
Vehicles and Sub-Industry with 12 million 377 thousand 663 dollars

In the January-April period of 2023, exports were made to 123 different countries from the Eastern Black Sea Region. The top 5 exporting countries were, respectively, the Russian Federation, Italy, Germany, Georgia and Poland. Our exports to the Russian Federation from these countries increased by 89 percent, our exports to Poland by 47 percent and our exports to Italy by 38 percent.

There has been a significant increase in exports to Morocco, Malaysia, TRNC and Egypt, and exports to 15 different countries, primarily Saudi Arabia, Myanmar (Burma) and Paraguay, were different from the same period of last year.
