The overall export unit value index decreased by 3.4%
As compared with the corresponding month of the preceding year, the overall export unit value index decreased by 3.4% in September. In the same month, compared to September 2018, while the index for food, beverages and tobacco increased by 1.9%, the index for crude materials (except fuels), fuels and manufactured goods (except food, beverages and tobacco) decreased by 7.2%, 15.2% and 4.1%, respectively.
The overall export unit value index decreased by 3.5% in Quarter III 2019, compared to the corresponding quarter of the preceding year.
The overall import unit value index decreased by 5.3%
As compared with the corresponding month of the preceding year, the overall import unit value index decreased by 5.3% in September. The index for food, beverages and tobacco, crude materials (except fuels), fuels and manufactured goods (except food, beverages and tobacco) decreased by 5.3%, 9.8%, 14.7% and 2.4%, respectively.
The overall import unit value index decreased by 4.9% in Quarter III 2019, compared to the corresponding quarter of the preceding year.

The overall export volume index increased by 3.8%
The overall export volume index compared to the corresponding month of the preceding year increased by 3.8% in September. Compared with September 2018, while the index for crude materials (except fuels) decreased by 3%, the index for food, beverages and tobacco, fuels and manufactured goods (except food, beverages and tobacco) increased by 8.3%, 41.4% and 4.6%, respectively.
The overall export volume index increased by 7.1% in Quarter III 2019, compared to the corresponding quarter of the preceding year.
The overall import volume index increased by 6.6%
In September, the overall import volume index compared to the corresponding month of the preceding year increased by 6.6%. The index for food, beverages and tobacco, crude materials (except fuels), fuels and manufactured goods (except food, beverages and tobacco) increased by 7.3%, 19.4%, 3.6% and 3.6%, respectively.
The overall import volume index increased by 2.4% in Quarter III 2019, compared to the corresponding quarter of the preceding year.

The calendar and seasonally adjusted export volume index increased by 2.1%
The calendar and seasonally adjusted export volume index which was 164.2 in August 2019, increased by 2.1%, to 167.7 in September 2019. The calendar adjusted export volume index which was 162.7 in September 2018, increased by 3.8%, to 169 in September 2019.
The calendar and seasonally adjusted import volume index decreased by 1.3%
The calendar and seasonally adjusted import volume index which was 122.9 in August 2019, decreased by 1.3%, to 121.3 in September 2019. The calendar adjusted import volume index which was 117.2 in September 2018, increased by 4.1%, to 122 in September 2019.
Terms of trade was 103.6 in September 2019
Terms of trade is calculated by dividing the export unit value index by the import unit value index, then multiplying the result by 100. While terms of trade was 101.6 in September 2018, it increased by 2 points to 103.6 in September 2019.
Terms of trade increased by 1.4 points to 103.5 in Quarter III 2019, compared to the corresponding quarter of the preceding year.
