Domestic Producer Price Index in Turkey, February 2017

Domestic producer price index increased by 1.26%
Domestic producer price index (D-PPI) increased by 1.26% on monthly basis, by 5.29% on December of the previous year basis, by 15.36% on same month of the previous year basis and by 5.87% on the twelve months moving averages basis in February 2017.

D-PPI increased by 2.39% for mining and stone quarrying, increased by 1.36% for manufacturing, decreased by 0.68% for electricity and gas and increased by 1.91% for water supply compared with the previous month.

The highest monthly increase was in crude petroleum and natural gas
The highest rates of monthly increase in D-PPI by sub divisions of industry were crude petroleum and natural gas by 9.68%, tobacco products by 3.67%, paper and paper products by 3.41%. On the other hand the highest rate of monthly decrease in D-PPI by sub divisions of industry was index for electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning by 0.68%.

The highest monthly increase in main industrial groupings was in intermediate goods

According to main industrial groupings classification in February 2017, the highest rates of monthly and annual increase were in intermediate goods.
