According to statistics released by Statistics Denmark, consumer confidence in Denmark increased further in February, hitting its highest level in six months, despite still showing little improvement from the country’s current depressing mood.
From -26.1 in January to -25.1 in February, the consumer confidence indicator increased.
The modest increase in February was primarily attributable to improvements in consumers’ assessments of the current financial situation of their family in comparison to a year ago, as well as expectations of their own financial situation in comparison to today.
The index tracking consumers’ expectations for the nation’s economy in the coming year decreased slightly from -6.3 in January to -6.4 in February while their own expectations for their own financial position increased from -1.2 to -0.3.
