From the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey:
NOTIFICATION ON THE AMENDMENT OF THE NOTIFICATION ON SUPPORTING THE CONVERSION FROM GOLD ACCOUNTS TO TURKISH LIRA DEPOSIT AND PARTICIPATION ACCOUNTS (NO. 2021/16)
(NO. 2024/20)
ARTICLE 1- The first paragraph of the 4th article of the Notification on Supporting the Conversion from Gold Accounts to Turkish Lira Deposit and Participation Accounts (No. 2021/16) published in the Official Gazette dated 29/12/2021 and numbered 31704 has been amended as follows.
“(1) The gold accounts of domestic natural persons as of 31/8/2024 and domestic legal persons as of 31/12/2021 shall be converted into Turkish lira at the conversion price upon request of the account holder.”
ARTICLE 2- This Communiqué shall enter into force on the date of publication.
ARTICLE 3- The President of the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey shall execute the provisions of this Communiqué.
