The news came from Austria’s Finance Minister Hartwig Loeger.

Loeger also stated that the new regulation would take place as of 2020 for tech companies making 750 million euros in total with at least €25 million from Austria.

The increase in digital tax is aimed at providing equity in taxation.

The digital platforms will also face compulsory VAT.

Australian Government estimates to make 200 million euros with the new regulation.

The seasonally adjusted retail sales volume increased for both EA19 and EU28 by 0,4%. The index raised by 2,8% in the Euro area and 3,3% in EU29, compared to the same months of the previous year.

The retail sales index increased by 0,9% for non-food products and 0,1% for food, beverage and tobacco products while it decreased by 0,7% for automotive fuel.

The same index increased by 0,1% for non-food products while decreasing by 0,1% for food, beverage and tobacco products and 0,2% for automotive fuel.

Among the countries for which data is available, the largest monthly increases in the total trade volume were recorded for Croatia (4.4%), Belgium and Latvia (1,6%). The largest decreases were seen in in Slovakia (1,5%), Portugal (1,0%) and Bulgaria (0,6%).

Compared to the same month of the previous year, the largest increases in the total retail trade volume was recorded in Slovakia (11,8%), Croatia (11,4%) and Romania (9,1%).

The report has been published for 30 years, examining 133 cities.

Singapore, Hong Kong, and Paris shared the first spot while Geneva and Osaka shared the fifth.

Seoul and Copenhagen shared the seventh, while Tel Aviv and Los Angeles shared the tenth spot.

The 10 most expensive cities in the world:

  1. Singapore
  2. Paris
  3. Hong Kong
  4. Zurich
  5. Geneva
  6. Osaka
  7. Seoul
  8. Copenhagen
  9. New York
  10. Tel Aviv
  11. Los Angeles

Caracas in Venezuela was ranked as the world’s least expensive city as inflation neared as 1,000,000% in the country.

Damascus in Syria ranked as the second least expensive city in the world.

Consumer Price Index increased by 0.4% in February, compared to the previous month.
It increased by 1.5% compared to February 2019.

Energy prices were 0.2% higher compared to January.
They increased by 2.9% compared to February 2018.

Food prices went up by 0.5% compared to January.
They increased by 1.4% compared to the same month a year earlier.

Ford is already going through restructuring.

It aims to reduce costs by $14 billion.

The company employs 13,000 thousand people and has 2 plants in the UK.

The UK Government is planning on providing financial aid to companies that might be affected by a no-deal Brexit, May stated.
