How to cancel the work permit of a foreigner when s/he becomes a Turkish citizen? Is it possible to cancel SSI after the cancellation of the work permit? Would it be enough to apply to the institution without canceling SSI?
The employer of the foreigner who has work permit may apply online to cancel it. The employer may also apply to our Ministry with a petition that contains an original signature.
The identification card of the employee showing their Turkish citizen status is also needed at this stage. SSI of the foreigner should also be canceled following the cancellation of the work permit.

A temporary employment relationship may be established when the employer transfers the employee, with his or her written consent at the time of transfer, to another establishment within the structure of the same holding company or the same group of companies.

Number of cinema audiences decreased by 5.4%
The number of moviegoers in Turkey decreased by 5.4% in 2018 compared to 2017 and was 64 million 772 thousand 380. While the number of national productions’ audience increased by 3.4% and reached 39 million 195 thousand 881, the number of foreign productions’ audience decreased by 16.4% and fall to 25 million 576 thousand 499 people.

The number of performances for original shows performed in theater halls increased by 6.9% and the number of performances for translated/copyright shows increased by 5.3% compared to last season.

As compared to the 2016-2016 season; the number of shows performed in theatre halls increased by 4.8% and reached to 9 thousand 376 in 2017-2018 season. The number of original shows increased by 4.3% and the number of translated/copyright shows increased by 7.4% compared to last season. In 2017-2018 season, the number of theater audiences increased by 11.9% compared to the 2016-2017 season and reached 7 million 841 thousand 353. The number of theater audiences for original shows increased by 7.8% and the number of theater audiences for translated/copyright shows increased by 26.7% compared to last season.

In the same period, the number of audiences for adult shows increased by 14.2% and the number of audiences for children shows increased by 9.1%.

If a seaman gets arrested, he can not become entitled to severance pay.
In accordance with Subparagraph I of Article 14 of Maritime Law numbered 854 if the contract is canceled by the employer due to reasons other than those stated in this Article, the seaman becomes entitled to severance pay. Getting arrested is among the reasons stated in Subparagraph I of Article 14 of this Law.
