Producer Price Index of Agricultural Products, October 2019, in Turkey
Producer price index of agricultural products (Agriculture – PPI), in October 2019, increased by 1.70% compared with the previous month, increased by 11.64% compared with December of the previous year, increased by 18.22% compared with the same month of the previous year and increased by 22.64% compared with twelve months averages.Compared to the previous month; agriculture and hunting products increased by 1.88%, forestry products decreased by 0.90% and fishing decreased by 2.57%.
The highest monthly increase was in perennial crops
Regarding monthly changes by main groups; perennial crops increased by 7.67%, live animals and animal products increased by 0.98% and non-perennial crops decreased by 0.34%.
The vegetables from sub-agriculture groups decreased by 2.93%
From sub-agriculture groups; there were increases for pome fruits and stone fruits by 9.61%, for other farmed animals and animal products by 2.05%, for cereals (except rice), leguminous crops and oil seeds by 0.15%, however, there were decreases for rice (in hulk) by 2.01% and citrus fruits by 0.91%.
In October 2019, 92 items included in the Agriculture PPI; while 10 new items included this month, prices of 41 items increased, prices of 36 items decreased and prices of 5 items remained unchanged with respect to previous month.
