Agricultural Holdings Labor Wage Structure in Turkey, 2016

Average daily wage of seasonal agricultural workers increased by 13.4%
In agricultural holdings, daily wage of the seasonal agricultural workers increased by 13.4% to 59 TL, monthly wage of permanent agricultural workers increased by 9.5% to 1 677 TL in 2016.
The daily wage of the seasonal female agricultural workers increased by 14.4% to 53 TL and also the daily wage of the male agricultural workers increased by 12.4% to 66 TL.
The monthly wage of the permanent agricultural workers increased by 9.3% to 1 456 TL for female workers and it increased by 9.7% to 1 714 TL for male workers.

When looking at the daily wages of seasonal agricultural workers by selected activities, from the activities that most of the workers were worked, for hoeing; 48 TL was paid to female workers, 54 TL was paid to male workers and for harvesting; 54 TL was paid to female workers, 62 TL was paid to male workers.

The highest daily wage of female seasonal agricultural workers was in Ordu
In agricultural holdings, the highest daily wage of seasonal agricultural workers for female workers was 69 TL in Ordu and for male workers it was 89 TL in Ardahan. The lowest wage was 33 TL for female workers and 43 TL for male workers in Hatay.

The lowest monthly wage of male permanent agricultural workers was in Malatya
When looking at monthly wage paid to the permanent agricultural workers, it was seen that Ankara and Balıkesir are the province where the highest monthly wage was paid to female workers with 1 500 TL respectively and Bursa is the province where the highest monthly wage was paid to male workers with 2 132 TL. The lowest average wage was 1 000 TL for female workers in Aydın and 867 TL for male workers in Malatya.
