The European central bank is tightening the security measures on the 50 euro banknote with a redesign.
The European Central Bank claims that the new 50 euro banknote with its enhanced security features will be a tough nut to crack for the criminals.
Some 80% of all forgeries were represented by the 50 and 20 euro banknotes; on the other hand, 500 euro banknotes will be withdrawn in 2018.
