Solid Fuels, August 2019, in Turkey
Marketable production of solid fuels was 93 thousand 581 tonnes for hard coal, 6 million 999 thousand 642 tonnes for lignite(1) and 371 thousand 325 tonnes for coke derived from hard coal in August 2019. For the same month, deliveries(2) were 3 million 281 thousand 826 tonnes for hard coal, 6 million 997 thousand 870 tonnes for lignite and 444 thousand 887 tonnes for coke derived from hard coal.
The lowest ratio of production to deliveries was in hard coal
The lowest ratio(3) of marketable production to deliveries was in hard coal by 2.9%. This ratio was 83.5% for coke derived from hard coal and 100% for lignite.

Hard coal and lignite were delivered mostly to the thermal power plants
Distribution of solid fuels according to breakdown of main delivery places was 63.6% to thermal power plants, 12.3% to coking plants, 6.8% to industry (except iron and steel industry) for hard coal whereas, 84.3% to thermal power plants, 11.8% to industry (except iron and steel industry) for lignite and 98.2% to iron and steel industry for coke derived from hard coal.
