In September 2019, 146 903 houses were sold in Turkey
In Turkey, house sales increased by 15.4% in September 2019 compared to the same month of the previous year and hence, became 146 903. For the house sales of September 2019, İstanbul had the highest share of house sales with 15.8% and 23 265 sold house. The followers of İstanbul were Ankara with 14 906 house sales and İzmir 8 830 house sales with the share of 10.1% and 6% respectively. The least house sold provinces were Hakkari and Ardahan with 19 house sales, Şırnak with 75 house sales.
In September 2019, 57 811 ownership of the houses changed by mortgage salesThe mortgaged house sales throughout Turkey became 57 811 by increasing 410.2% compared to the same month of the previous year. House sales with mortgage had a 39.4% share of all house sales in Turkey. Most of house sales with mortgage was in İstanbul with 8 719 sales. İstanbul was the first province in Turkey ranking that has most house sales with mortgage share with 15.1%. Mortgaged house sales had the highest share in Artvin with 60.1% of all house sales.Ownership of 89.092 houses changed by other sales
Other house sales in Turkey became 89 092 by decreasing 23.2% compared to the same month of the previous year. In the other sales, İstanbul was the first province with 14 546 sales and 16.3% share. Other house sales had 62.5% share of all house sales in İstanbul. Ankara was the second province with 7 818 sales. Ankara was followed by İzmir with 4 849 sales. The least other house sales was realized in Ardahan with 11 house sales.

In house sales, 51 393 of houses were sold for the first time
First house sales in Turkey became 51 393 by decreasing 14.7% compared to the same month of the previous year. First house sales had 35% share of all house sales in Turkey. The most first house sales was in İstanbul with 8 347 sales. İstanbul was the first province in Turkey ranking that had most first house sales share with 16.2%. The followers of İstanbul were Ankara with 3 921 house sales and İzmir with 2 887 house sales.
Ownership of 95.510 houses changed by second-hand sales
Second hand house sales in Turkey became 95 510 by increasing 42.3% compared to the same month of the previous year. In the second hand sales, İstanbul was the first province again with 14 918 sales and 15.6% share. Share of the second hand sales was 64.1% in İstanbul in total house sales. Ankara was the second province with 10 985 sales and Ankara was followed by İzmir with 5 943 sales.
In September 2019, 4 177 houses were sold to foreigners
In house sales to foreigners became 4 177 by decreasing 25.6% compared to the same month of the previous year. İstanbul was the first province with 1 924 sales in September 2019. The followers of İstanbul were Antalya with 744 house sales, Ankara with 239 house sales, Bursa with 213 house sales and Yalova with 141 house sales.
Most house sales were made to Iraq citizens according to country nationalities
Iraq citizens bought 781 houses from Turkey in September. The followers of Iraq were Iran with 489 house sales, Russia with 248 house sales, Saudi Arabia with 214 house sales and Kuwait with 191 house sales.
