Producer Price Index of Agricultural Products, April 2019
Producer price index of agricultural products (Agriculture – PPI), in April 2019, increased by 1.09% compared with the previous month, increased by 14.44% compared with December of the previous year, increased by 30.75% compared with the same month of the previous year and increased by 18.12% compared with twelve months averages.The highest monthly increase was in non-perennial crops
Regarding monthly changes by main groups; non-perennial crops increased by 1.62%, live animals and animal products increased by 0.67% and perennial crops increased by 0.33%.
The vegetables from sub-agriculture groups increased by 2.06%
From sub-agriculture groups; there were increases for rice (in hulk) by 6.18%, for sheep and goats, live; raw milk and shorn wool from sheep and goats by 1.53%, and for cereals (except rice), leguminous crops and oil seeds by 1.47%, however, there were decreases for oleaginous fruits by 2.07% , for poultry, live and eggs by 0.91% and for fibre plants by 3.01%.
In April 2019, 77 items were included in the Agriculture PPI; while 3 new item was included this month, prices of 47 items increased, prices of 18 items decreased and prices of 9 items remained unchanged with respect to previous month.
