Paid Employee Statistics in Türkiye, December 2022
Number of paid employees increased by 7.2% annually
Number of paid employees including industry, construction, trade-services sectors increased by 7.2% in December 2022 compared with the same month of the previous year. While the number of paid employees was 13 million 797 thousand 768 in the same month of the previous year, it became 14 million 792 thousand 228 in December 2022.
When sub-sectors are examined; number of paid employees in industrial sector increased by 6.7%, in construction sector increased by 9.2% and in trade-services sector increased by 7.1% annually.

Number of paid employees increased by 0.6% monthly
Number of paid employees including industry, construction, trade-services sectors increased by 0.6% in December 2022 compared with the previous month.
When sub-sectors are examined; number of paid employees in industrial sector increased 0.4%, in construction sector increased by 1.6% and in trade-services sector increased by 0.5% monthly.

Calendar effect has not been observed in number of paid employees. Therefore unadjusted series are used instead of calendar adjusted series.
Monthly changes refer to the changes of seasonally adjusted values compared to the previous month.
